Ryan is a well-connected and respected government and stakeholder engagement specialist.

Prior to joining SEC Newgate, Ryan was a Senior Adviser to the Deputy Premier of Western Australia, working in the economically focused portfolios of State Development, Jobs, and Trade. Additionally, having worked for several Federal Labor MPs, Ryan maintains extensive networks with senior members and staff within the Federal Government.

Ryan’s practical experience has seen him work extensively on several key government initiatives and taskforces, often aligned with objectives in new energy, advanced manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, and diplomatic and trade relations, particularly as Western Australia emerged from its COVID isolation aiming to re-engage with industry sectors and trading markets, both domestically and overseas.

His experience over a number of state and federal political campaigns has proven beneficial in helping identify key trends and issues within the Western Australian community.

Ryan’s work across the political spectrum has provided keen insight into the intersectional nature of WA Federal-State relations as well as leveraging practical solutions for stakeholders across a broad cross-section of industries and economic sectors.
